Baby powerful!

We Dare You week 35 is about those small, small, tiny things which have lead to considerable changes in life. I wrote on the forum that we could scrap about small toes which effect when you can start to entitle yourself a parent, a paper for admission here or there, an employment certificate here or there, a decision to move across the whole country due to some reason, a splinter in the foot which caused an infection, a ring which is put on your finger when you promise fidelity for the rest of your life, the look which says it all at the same time as it makes your knees shiver and so on.

I was thinking about doing something else before I realised that he is and most likely will continue to be what has lead to the greatest changes in my life. I remember that I knew it would be huge to become a mother. Now I know that there are no way you can know in advance how huge it is. There are no words in the world to describe...

From the kit are the letterstickers including the two x, the Bam Pop frame, the HS journaling paper, the HS photo corner and that small pink checkered paper piece which the Hello Kitty sticker came with. I had used all a so I went over a 8 with the scissor to form some kind of a. Anyone against scrapping a pink page about my precious little boy? ;)

These boots r made 4 walking

... and that just what they've done.

Week 33 for We Dare You is about shoes. Scrap your shoes. Which ones do you love? Which ones make you feel great? Which ones are your worst buy? I remember that someone once said to me "how the hell did you manage to collect so many shoes?". They are heavy... to move. :) I defintely have to many of them and I only use a few. During my lifetime I think I have managed to use only about three pairs of shoes until they fell apart in pieces... But...

Boots. Yes, it had to be boots. Boots are made for walking. These boots are definitely made for walking. And how they have walked. So much they have seen, heard, tasted, touched and experienced. And they were definitely worth that wine bottle I gave away to get to wear them.

Letter stickers (+ three extra letters taken from the stickers that came with the large July kit), the Bam Pop frame, the HS photo corner, the Hello Kitty sticker (which I should have used for a cat layout, but now it ended up here) and the punchinella are from the kit. The rest are things from my stash. Patterned papers which I have went over with a scissor, stickers, ribbons, "diecuts" and so on. The first thing which crossed my mind was to take on those boots, run through some mud and then just walk.... just walk over a background paper. I tried that out and it didn't really work... so I actually stamped the footprint there with non-waterproof ink...

Pain killers

We dare you week 32 is about things that makes us feel good at the same time as you know that you shouldn't... The things we love even though we should not. The things that give us feelings of guilt. It's time to identify those things.

I usually never feel guilt. It's a feeling which I try to avoid. If I want something and have the possibility to have or do it, I do it. That makes me do things I know that I perhaps should not do. But guilt? I don't know who came up with that expression or state of mind... I think that you should face your actions and guilt... well, to feel guilt is not a good way to handle those things you are about to do, have done or haven't done. Better then to reflect and think and, if neccessary and also possible, learn for the future.

Based on my prespective on life in general and especially guilt, I had to rethink this challenge. I came to think of one thing in my life which I don't like. It's the fact that I have those pills to take. Those pills that make my pain go away or at least make the pain soften in intensity. Those pills are really not fun to eat. And if I don't eat them... welll that's not fun. Some say there is a risk for being addicted to those pills. I know that it's more a psychological risk than an physical one. I know that I feel bad, irritated and tired for a couple of days when I stop eating those pills, something I do now and then. Of course, the pain also comes back. I know that it's the prize I have to pay for coping with this fu**ing pain. I know that the more you eat those pills your mind gets used to them resulting in that after some time you do things that you are not supposed to do when you are on these pills. This is something that can make me feel some degree of guilt. That I have a pain which requires me to take these small pills. And... I feel guilt for not being able to just let go and eat those pills on a regular basis to stop that damn pain. It's like pest or cholera. I have only two options to choose from... and neither of them is a good option.

The fact that there are alarming reports now and then in newspapers about those pills don't mind me at all. I have informed myself so I can just ignore those badly bended writings about those pills. Writings that makes so many people, including people I know, fear those pills. In that sense, this page also concerns that you should not feel guilt only because someone says you should do that... The reason for guilt has to come from yourself in order for you to have a chance to understand why you feel like you do. The page with it's title and subtitle also indicate all those things we do to make us feel better. Those things that relief us from our pain in life. Those things that there are no reason to feel guilt about us doing, but that we anyway may feel guilt for...

From the kit are the HS journaling card, the blue punchinella, the letter and number stickers and three aqua colored brads. The stars are really nice stars which I recieved as a RAK from Tezzan. Thanks a lot. I'm found of stars and they are so usable. On this page they represent the stars you may see when you are in pain. Suitable indeed. The blue color is nice. The real blue color that is. It's not so common with really blue scrap items, but these stars have that great color.

Edit made some days later: The weekend which followed after I had completed this layout involved some bright foxy insights. One of them is regarding the physical contra the psycological addiction. I can never claim that the physical addiction will not hit me. I'm in pain, and this means that the physical addiction is already built inside of me. Fuck! That's what I have to say about the thing...

My life - a constant puzzle

The challenge for We Dare You week 31 was to scrap about what is difficult. We have all experienced something difficult in life. The thing here is to scrap about those tough moments. Those learning experiences.

Some have a larger share than others of difficulties. And... what is difficult is very subjective. I didn't know which thread to start to pull. There are so many of them... and I think all of them have been unwinded at least once. I thought I should scrap a page with a general approach. When I then started, I realised that I could scrap about what is now. It's not an easy life to be a single mother with a little son which has inherited his strong will from his mother. I'm supposed to be that super woman - all the time. To be there for anyone or anything who calls for my complete attention. And my life... well it's a constant puzzle of putting things together in a way which makes the pieces fit.

I forgot to take a picture of my kit this time around. But... I used the Bam Pop frame, the blue punchinella (the net I'm in), the HS photo corner with a crown (that crown I as a super woman should wear sometimes), letter stickers and one square brad (it's hip to be painted into a square) from my kit. I added some other things which represents those tough things in my life together with some of the good things too... and I am so happy that I came over the nice items which Marieke has designed. That is the strawberries (they are good :) ), the scalloped circle (scallops for the bumpy road I walk) and the arrows (pointing down... or are they just a highlight for that things are constant?). With those things in my hands, I was able to finish this page. The journaling is on the pink card which I cut to fit in the Bam Pop frame when it is hidden under the photo.

My {123} GOal

I guess I managed on time for We dare you week 30. This weeks promt was to scrap about my skills and abilities. Large as well as small ones. What have I succeded in/with? What goals have I accomplished?

My {123} GOal is a play with the fact that I really hate to make up plans (for the future). Of course, I have goals in/with my life, but they are not set in stone. I imagine that it's better to leave things open. Put another way, I take things as I encounter them at the same time as I secretly try to do my best to achieve those goals that I indeed have. ;) And some detours on the way are just ordinary food... The trick is to not let those detours take you too far away from that track... the track that it's safe to leave... This page contains important things in my life which reminds me of those detours, the goals I have and that I should not get lost when I leave that track.

Once again I managed to use up the whole kit for this month's challenges. This page contains three Holtz tickets with words, the larger Holtz ticket and also that Bohemian wrapping which the green rhinestones came in. ;)

Edit: Go over to the We dare you blog to see this page and some of the other really nice rockin' interpretations of skills, abilities and goals.

If I am growing...

The theme for week 29 in We dare you was to scrap about where I grew up. Or when. I am convinced that you should never ever fully grow up since you will get a bit dull if you do. But, there are things in life which we can learn from and thereby hopefully become stronger and perhaps also better human beings. You know, those dark moments when you dwell in despair and those precious times when you are having so fun that you are to pee your pants.

I interpreted the good as the sunshine and the less good as the rain (perhaps tears on my cheek). And you know what they say? "After rain come sunshine..." I and you and everyone else need, just as every other living thing, both rain and sunshine to live, grow and bloom...

I used three Holtz tickets (as leaves), two flowers, two buttons (as flowers), green rhinestones (as leaves) and three sticker frogs (which you have to kiss in order to find your king...) from the kit. And yes, Again, I colored in a photo by hand. The trees are made after a tutorial for faux wood made by dr.Nina. Or... I made some modifications. The colored pens are ordinary colored pens which I also went over with a water brush. So... if you don't have the pens Nina is using in here tutorial - Use what you have. :)

This time I also used one little word for what I created. But... it seems not better than I mixed up the timezones and the dates and thereby missed that deadline. Well... I actually missed both. :) And we will see later today f I manage to keep the deadline for next We dare you... or not...

Edit: I am happy now. I missed the deadline due to a mix up, but look here. I managed to be included in the slideshow over if-favourites. *happy* And I managed to finish the next We dare you on time. *also happy*

Reci-pie for that de luxe...

I am trying to catch up with the We dare you challenges. Bling. To bling a page. To bling my life. That was the theme for week 28. I had a plan. Or at least an idea. Then I realized that why should I scrap a page about something that's not for real in my life. Something that I even don't want to make it come through. Then I became sad and decided not to scrap such a page at that moment in time.

I have now managed to find an interpretation which I can live with. Something that I can put my name on. And here it comes. My reci-pie for that de luxe x(tr)a sassy fun feeling. I used three Holtz tickets to represent three insights which I do my best to life up to or after. Three insights which, for me, leads to a de luxe feeling. And I know at least one person in this world who understands what I aim at. One person which I know have very similar insights in life.

Always trust my instincts
Make my wish come through
Always have a story to tell

Looking at the kit, I used three Holtz tickets, one red frog sticker (a really nice one) and a red flower (which I put some glitter on). All other stuff is from "my stash". You may also note that I painted the large letters, the "die cut" labels (which are cut out from a - is it? - Prima paper?) and the tickets with transparent glitter. And every handwritten letter has at least one ingredient in form of a glitter pen. This page is really bling and shiny and changing depending on from which direction you look at it.

And yes, there are some hidden/subtile messages on this page including play and also deliberate misspelling of some words... I do so since that's the way I like it. :) Finally, I finally made my red and purple page. A color combination I have been thinking about for months now...

All time favourites

The fifth thing to scrap about for We Dare You was a favourite thing. One thing that we really like. I couldn't figure out one single favourite artefact so I interpreted the challenge and scrapped about my all time favourites - in music. The list is on the altered and kawaii thing which is hidden behind the photo.

I used three Holtz tickets and one transparent red button from the second We Dare You kit. I forgot to add a green bling stone to represent Kryptonite... but that's life. :) A lot of the other stuff on this page (Piggy Tales and Bam Pop) are available from Jommas. The black between the patterned papers is actually a new favourite - huge ric rac. maxell is something that I have kept for years and years now. It's a part of the plastic wrap around some old maxell... was it VHS-tapes or was it even ordinary cassette tapes?

After finally finishing this page I ask myself one question. Why the hell am I so stubborn to that I do pages like this? Too much time. But... it's incredible fun to make 'em...

Enjoy life

A month of We dare you has passed. The fourth challenge was to scrap about our desires. We all have our desires. Mine is perhaps a bit different from the other interpretations since there is no physical desire on the page (or are there?)... ;)

I also would like to say that I managed to achieve my goal, that is to say to use up all of the kit. I have used every part of it and the only things left are some lace and some scraps of the journaling cards. That's nice!
And now we wait for the next kit...

My secret garden

For the third part of We dare you, we were supposed to scrap about our safe place. The place to which we can escape and feel safe. I have had real problems with this challenge since I really don't know where that safe place is... Finally, I realised that I should scrap another ambiguous page that reveal some parts and leave other parts hidden.

Looking at the vinyl decorations in combination with something that my partner in crime said during midsummer made me go for my first clear page. You can say that I in more than one way finally figured out how the vinyl decorations should be used... The result is a bit messy, but I like it. :)

I am (who) I (am)...

... and I'm damn proud of that. Just think how stupid it would be of me to be someone else...

This is my interpretation of the second We dare You. This week we was encouraged to scrap about the positive sides of ourselves. The things that we are most proud of. This page was to be made with the intention to remember the wounderful things with ourselves. The intention was also that you actually should/could put the page in a frame and hang it on a wall.

I started to list positive things with me, myself and I. I checked this list with my partner in crime. Some days later I sat down to scrap. Without that list of postive things. So typical me. To change my mind, my plans and/or don't caring about what I had been thinking of . ;) Anyway. I first felt that I should put a plus sign somewhere on the page and laborated with the thought of tilting it so no one would know wheter I was thinking about a plus sign och a cross over myself... Then I took my senses back and made a page that says it all. Here is "I am I"...

Some of the things that are fuckin' bad in this text considering the English language will perhaps be corrected when we run out of drinks and things to celebrate. :P

(Sometimes) I scrap because I can

This is my interpretation which answers the question why I scrap. What is it that makes me continue to scrap?

The title may seem rather cocky. :) But... it should only be interpreted in the context of time. It's the time... or rather the lack of time... that makes me scrap less...

So when I scrap, I take me the time to do so.

I decided to try to use as much as possible from these "We dare you"- kits. For this page I used 1 vinyl dekoration, 1 selfadhesive chipboardframe, 1 star sticker, 1 flower and 1 "journaling" paper from the junekit. The rest just happened to land there in some more or less mysterious way... :)

Another sneakpeak

Yes, I thought I should give you another sneakpeak of what I have been up to lately...

This one is colorful!

Very colorful!
